Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ben Visit

Grandma Mary and Grandpa Ben came to visit for Thanksgiving. We had lots of fun, ate lots of food and even went to a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Game.

Meet the Author

Emma had the opportunity to meet one of her favorite authors, Barbara Park. She is the author of the "Junie B. Jones" books. They are really cute chapter books about a little girl who always gets into some kid of mischief. Emma has been writing some of her own books, like 20 of them, so we thought it would be fun for her to actually meet someone who writes books for a living. It was even better that she met Barbara because she knows her books. It was a great event. Barbara personalized and signed a new book for Emma. Here is Emma and Barbara:

Santa also made an appearance at the event. Emma told Eric that she didn't think he was the real Santa because he had darker skin. She also told me that she could see the strap that attached his beard...she is getting to smart. I told her that a lot of times Santa has helpers at this time of year. We will see how long it lasts...
