Emma and Sophia's Haircuts

Halloween 2009

Emma was Strawberry Shortcake (Grammie made her costume) and
Sophia was a Water Fariy.

Emma officially received her Brownie vest with her first patches on it. She was so excited!

I made this spooky treat out of Jell-O and gummy eyeballs, snake and spider. I didn't tell the girls so they were surprised when the saw it in the refrigerator the next morning.

They said, "I'm not eating that, it's grose".

Sophia had a field trip for school and rode a full size horse for the first time and LOVED it!

Weekend in Northern Arizona

We took a little weekend trip to Northern Arizona for the weekend to get out of the 100+ heat of Phoenix. We had a great time exploring the area and got a kick out of the "lakes" in the area. We drove down these dirt roads for over an hour only to find a little tiny lake with absolutely noting around it. The best place we found was the reservoir. We would love to go back there to do a little day trip with a canoe. It was nice to just be out of the blazing heat in Phoenix.

This was one of the lizards we saw on one of our drives to find a lake.

This was long lake. I think they call it "Long Lake" because it takes you a really

long time to get there and then there is absolutely nothing around it.

The only thing around was this crane bird and he flew away as soon as we drove up.

We saw this lizard laying on the road.

We didn't want to build a fire and burn the place down so we decided to make some

S'Mores "City Style" on the BBQ.

This is Potato Lake. Another lake we drove over an hour to see.

It is Arizona, what do you expect.

You have to have a walking stick.

The "Suareg" was so dirty the girls got a kick out of writing our names on the back of it.

Emma worked really hard to build this fort. Just kidding, it was already there.
